SPORTS DATA CAMPUS BECOMES TRAINING PARTNER OF CONMEBOL, THE GOVERNING BODY OF SOUTH AMERICAN FOOTBALL, IN AN UNPRECEDENTED ALLIANCE WITH ONE OF THE WORLD’S MOST IMPORTANT FOOTBALL CONFEDERATIONS.
We are proud to announce that Sports Data Campus has formalised an agreement with the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) to become a training partner of this prestigious organisation. The fundamental objective of this strategic alliance is to make a significant contribution to the incorporation and use of advanced technology and data analysis with the clear intention of generating a highly positive impact on the region and on all the Confederation’s clubs and institutions. The nature of this agreement provides the basis for building a solid and constantly evolving alliance that benefits both parties and contributes significantly to the growth and continued success of South American football.
Sports Data Campus and Conmebol
This alliance means that all members of the South American football community, including administrative staff, associations, clubs, players, unions, coaches, agents, among others, can experience the benefits of being part of the group of partners and collaborators of Sports Data Campus. Among other things, one of the main advantages is that all professionals working under the umbrella of CONMEBOL and its clubs will be able to benefit from the Sports Data Campus International Scholarship Programme, with the best conditions and prices for the programmes, as well as interest-free financing.
To do so, they simply need to use the CONMEBOL-SDC Code in their initial communications and provide documentary evidence that they work for entities or clubs within CONMEBOL.

Another important aspect of this partnership is that the current agreement is established without a time limit, providing a continuous and flexible framework that facilitates the possibility of exploring and developing new synergies between both parties in the future. This could range from the implementation of joint projects, such as internships in clubs, associations or companies affiliated with the South American entity, to the valuable opportunity for CONMEBOL experts to share their experience and wisdom through various masterclasses. These learning opportunities will allow our students to delve into the successful path traced by the organisation over the years, with the aim of acquiring in-depth knowledge of its processes and outstanding achievements.
This context provides not only the opportunity to strengthen and expand the current collaboration, but also to identify additional areas of strategic cooperation that could further enrich our relationship in the future.
“We are pleased to partner with a renowned institution such as Sports Data Campus. This alliance is part of one of our main strategic pillars, which is to be a leading institution, and will help us to incorporate and leverage advanced technology and data analysis, thereby amplifying the educational development of athletes, sportspeople and professionals in the field of sports management”.
Monserrat Jimenez, Deputy Legal Secretary General of CONMEBOL.
“It is a real honour for us to be able to add CONMEBOL as one of our strategic partners, given what this means for our current students and the more than 1,500 who have already graduated with us, as well as for future students, who will be able to benefit from a solid alliance with one of the most important and representative institutions in world football. I would like to especially thank both Montse and Rodrigo for their invaluable attention throughout the process and, above all, for allowing us to learn about the institution’s commitment to the development of South American football through the training of its professionals. We are convinced that this agreement marks a turning point for the presence of Sports Data Campus in South America, thanks to this collaboration agreement.”

About Conmebol
The South American Football Confederation, better known as CONMEBOL, is the confederation of national football associations (federations) in South America. Founded on 9 July 1916 in Buenos Aires, it is the world’s first confederation, created almost 40 years before the next ones were formed.
CONMEBOL was born out of a tournament between countries on the South American continent. The first Copa América, held in 1916 in Buenos Aires to commemorate the centenary of Argentine independence, marked the beginning of this institution, originally composed of the associations of Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Uruguay. Subsequently, the other South American associations joined CONMEBOL: Paraguay (1921), Peru (1925), Bolivia (1926), Ecuador (1927), Colombia (1936) and Venezuela (1953).
It is the only football confederation in which all member associations are also affiliated with FIFA and the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Its ten member national associations are the pride and joy of CONMEBOL.

Conmebol Libertadores
The CONMEBOL Libertadores Cup is one of the most prestigious football tournaments in South America and is considered the top club competition in the region. The most prominent teams from different South American countries participate in it, competing for the title of continental champion. The team that is crowned champion of the CONMEBOL Libertadores earns a place to play in the FIFA Club World Cup, the Recopa Sudamericana, where it faces the winner of the Copa Sudamericana, and also automatically qualifies for the group stage of next year’s CONMEBOL Libertadores.
The competition has seen many legendary teams and iconic players over the years, contributing to its status as one of the most prominent events in the world of football.
Conmebol Sudamericana
The CONMEBOL Sudamericana is CONMEBOL’s youngest tournament. It is a bold, courageous and conquering tournament. It was first held in 2002, with 21 teams from different CONMEBOL member countries participating. It was originally played during the second half of the year, until 2017, when the tournament was restructured to last the entire year, in parallel with CONMEBOL Libertadores. CONMEBOL Sudamericana is an annual competition.
