About the Master’s Program
Offered by Sports Data Campus in collaboration with UCAM, this master’s program is aimed at coaches, tactical analysts, scouts, strength and conditioning coaches, sports journalists, and anyone interested in gaining deeper expertise in football performance analysis.
The program is focused on the comprehensive training of professionals capable of combining video and data analysis, using advanced Business Intelligence, Python, SQL, and tactical analysis software tools. Participants will learn how to carry out detailed analyses of the performance of players, teams, and matches, while also developing effective communication skills to present their findings to coaches and technical staff.
The master’s program prepares students to face the challenges of a modern and highly competitive football environment, where technology and data analysis are essential to optimize tactical and strategic decision-making, improving both collective and individual performance in elite clubs, academies, and national teams.
Professional Career Opportunities
Graduates of the Master’s Degree in Football Analysis: Tactical, Video and Data Analysis
are trained to perform, among others, the following professional roles in the field of sports analysis, without prejudice to any corresponding qualifying certifications:
First-Team Tactical Analyst:
Responsible for the comprehensive analysis of the game within professional structures, supporting the coaching staff in tactical and strategic decision-making throughout the season.
Youth Football / Academy Analyst:
Specialist in monitoring and developing young talent, analyzing training processes and the evolution of individual and collective performance.
Scout / Individual Scouting Analyst:
Responsible for identifying and evaluating players through video and data for recruitment, monitoring, and transfer decision-making processes.
Opponent Analyst / Match Preparation Specialist:
A professional dedicated to the strategic study of the opponent, producing tactical reports that optimize the match plan.
Set-Piece Analysis Specialist:
Expert in the offensive and defensive study of set pieces, identifying patterns and designing specific strategies for competitive advantage.
Junior Sports Data Analyst:
A profile focused on collecting, cleaning, and analyzing performance data to support sports decisions through objective metrics.
Analysis Department Coordinator / Head:
Responsible for leading a club’s analysis structure, coordinating processes, methodologies, and communication between technical and management areas.
Analyst for Specialized Media:
A professional dedicated to interpreting data and video to generate analytical content for press, television, or digital platforms.
Personal Player Analyst:
A specialist in individualized player performance tracking, producing reports and personalized improvement plans.
External Consultant / Freelance Analyst:
An independent professional who provides tactical and data analysis services to clubs, academies, agencies, or sporting management departments.
