Sports Data Campus and Estudiantes de La Plata have signed a collaboration agreement that will promote development and research in advanced analytics and Big Data for both parties. The Argentine institution is immersed in a knowledge investment process through Estudiantes Innova, a space dedicated to research and innovation with a special focus on sport and education as well as community impact.
This alliance will also allow students from the master’s programs at Sports Data Campus to undertake internships at the club, providing a valuable exchange between acquired academic learning and practical field experience.
Sports Data Campus and Estudiantes de La Plata through ‘Estudiantes Innova’
Estudiantes Innova was created with the goal of seeking, creating, sharing, and transferring knowledge into the field, as well as integrating and making technology and expertise accessible to all. In October 2022, it organized the first Applied Sciences in Sport Day at Estadio Uno in La Plata, where international professionals shared their experience on cutting‑edge technique and technology used in physical preparation and high‑performance athlete development.
“This agreement with Sports Data Campus and UCAM consolidates the path taken and represents an enriching exchange for Estudiantes. The times and data management in sport are changing, as are the athletes (digital natives). This alliance is a starting point that will enhance the organization, making processes more efficient, improving the quality of information and analysis, and impacting the club’s entire ecosystem,” said representatives from Club Estudiantes de La Plata.

Through this agreement, Sports Data Campus students and data analysts will be able to apply their knowledge in practical environments, gaining extensive experience by contributing to the team and institution while objectively measuring the outcomes of their work.

For this reason, this collaboration agreement is fundamental to continue creating, sharing, and transferring knowledge between Sports Data Campus, UCAM, and Estudiantes de La Plata in order to understand and address the evolution of data in sport and the development of new generations of athletes, for whom technology is an integral part of their daily lives and will continue to expand with new tools.
