Zamora Club de Fútbol has signed a collaboration agreement with Sports Data Campus. This partnership not only reflects the club’s ambition to reach new heights in the world of football, but also demonstrates its commitment to innovation and the implementation of new advanced analytics tools.
Zamora Club de Fútbol and Sports Data Campus Will Work Together on Technological Innovation
Sports Data Campus, the leading institution in training sports professionals with a focus on data analysis, is pleased to announce a strategic collaboration with Zamora Club de Fútbol, the historic club that currently competes in Spain’s Segunda RFEF.
This agreement marks a significant milestone in the club’s pursuit of technological innovation, opening new doors to data-driven decision-making and providing valuable educational experiences for Sports Data Campus students.

Over the course of its 55-year history, Zamora CF has experienced ups and downs in both sporting results and financial performance. The great aspiration of both the club and the city and province has always been to see the team in professional football, reaching the Segunda División. Despite trying through as many as six different promotion play-off campaigns, Zamora CF has never played in the second tier of Spanish football.
To date, the highest sporting level reached by the first team is the third tier of Spanish football.
The arrival of Grupo Vivir at Zamora in 2018, to resolve the club’s financial difficulties, brought major change to the institution, not only in terms of sporting results, but above all in the professionalization of the club’s structure.
Under the presidency of Víctor de Aldama, the club has taken a step forward at every level, with a clear improvement in infrastructure, a new way of working in the youth categories, and continuous growth, especially with the intention of staying up to date in innovation and the implementation of new technological trends.
“In my case, as a Sports Data Campus student and thanks to the trust generated by each of the professionals who are part of this family, I have the certainty and confidence that together we can achieve something truly positive and meaningful. Our intention is to offer a real opportunity within our club to students trained at Sports Data Campus, so that we can all benefit from a rich and rewarding experience.
We would love to be a pioneering club within grassroots football, carrying out new innovative and growth-oriented experiences across the different lines of collaboration: internships, Master’s Final Projects, MasterClasses and training programs,” said Aaron Riesco García, Sporting Director of Zamora Club de Fútbol S.A.D.
As David Sáez, CEO of Sports Data Campus, noted: “Whenever we sign a collaboration agreement it is a source of pride, but this one is especially meaningful to me, as someone from Castilla y León and because of my connection to Zamora.
It also gives me special satisfaction that a club doing things in such an exemplary way, led by people with great professional qualifications and outstanding human qualities, is opening its doors to us so that our students can develop projects within the team that contribute to the growth of its analytics ecosystem.
I do not want to miss the opportunity to especially thank Aaron Riesco, Sporting Director of Zamora Club de Fútbol, for his willingness and his words. It is a source of pride for us to have students like him in our master’s programs and to be able to create a bond that goes beyond the educational process and extends into the professional sphere.”
