Club Deportivo O’Higgins FC is a professional sports corporation founded on April 7, 1955, following the merger of the Rancagua clubs O’Higgins Braden and América. It stands out as a player-development club and as the only representative of the O’Higgins region in Chilean Primera División football.
On the sporting side, the institution’s greatest achievement was winning the 2013–14 Torneo de Apertura title, defeating Universidad Católica in the final by a single goal at the Estadio Nacional.
