Sports Data Campus, a leading institution in advanced training in data analysis applied to sport, and Bolivia 2022, one of Bolivia’s most prestigious football academies, have formalised a strategic partnership agreement with the aim of integrating expertise in data analysis, technology and innovation into the academy’s talent development processes.

This partnership opens up new horizons for both institutions: Sports Data Campus students will have access to a leading football training environment in South America, with the opportunity to apply their knowledge in real-world contexts; whilst Bolivia 2022 will incorporate cutting-edge analytical tools and methodologies that will strengthen its talent identification, monitoring and development processes.

Bolivia 2022: Eleven years building the future of bolivian football

Bolivia 2022 is a private organisation specialising in the training of high-performance footballers, founded in mid-2015 under the leadership of Spanish businessman Jordi Chaparro. Since its inception, the organisation has operated with a clear vision: to develop top-level talent, train coaches and promote initiatives that contribute to the growth of Bolivian football.

Bolivia 2022 and Sports Data Campus join forces to drive the development of bolivian football through data an innovation

In its eleven-year history, Bolivia 2022 has participated in more than 50 international tournaments and tours, winning numerous championships both at home and abroad. The academy has produced more than 40 footballers who have gone on to play for professional clubs in Bolivia and abroad, including Miguel Terceros, Leonardo Zabala, Enzo Monteiro, Marcelo Torrez, Fernando Nava and Javier Uzeda, amongst many other talents who continue to develop their careers in professional football.

Currently, Bolivia 2022 manages more than 2,300 players across its various sites nationwide and is considered one of the most influential academies in the country. One of its main strengths is its High-Performance Centre in the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra: a modern facility covering more than 3,500 square metres with accommodation for athletes, five training pitches and all the necessary facilities for the comprehensive development of the country’s most talented footballers, who are part of its Elite Academy programme.

Bolivia 2022 stated: “The strategic partnership between Bolivia 2022 and Sports Data Campus represents a significant step forward in our commitment to innovation and will connect us with the knowledge and technology that are transforming the sports industry worldwide. This collaboration will enable us to continue growing as an institution, and our Bolivian players will be the main beneficiaries.”

In the words of Fredi Martin, Academic Director of Sports Data Campus: “Bolivia 2022 is much more than an academy: it is a project to nurture a country’s talent. Eleven years of training footballers, exporting talent and building elite infrastructure in the heart of South America speak for themselves. Bringing the strengths of Sports Data Campus to that ecosystem — contributing data analytics, methodology and specialised training — is exactly the kind of partnership that gives meaning to everything we do. We are convinced that the players, coaches and professionals associated with Bolivia 2022 will be the first to benefit from this agreement, and that together we will contribute to the growth of Bolivian football from a modern and innovative perspective.”

Training and innovation in the service of football and sport

With this agreement, Sports Data Campus reaffirms its commitment to linking knowledge with professional practice in world-class environments. Bolivia 2022, for its part, reinforces its commitment to modernisation and excellence as a driving force for the development of Bolivian football.
