About Deportivo Cali
Founded on 23 November 1912 by brothers Fidel and Nazario Lalinde, Deportivo Cali is one of Colombian football’s historic institutions and a founding club of the national championship. During its amateur years, it established itself as one of the leading sporting institutions in Valle del Cauca. It later became one of the ten founding teams of Colombia’s professional championship, taking part in its inaugural edition.
Throughout its history, Deportivo Cali has won ten league titles, one Copa Colombia and one Colombian Superliga. The club has also reached the Copa Libertadores final twice, in 1978 and 1999. Its growth is also reflected in its women’s football programme. Since making its debut in 2019, Deportivo Cali’s women’s team has won three league titles, in 2021, 2024 and 2025, and reached the Copa Libertadores Femenina final in 2025.
The club’s infrastructure is another distinctive asset. Deportivo Cali’s Monumental de Palmaseca stadium opened in 2010 and has an approximate capacity of 41,500 spectators. The stadium and sports complex have hosted matches in national and international competitions and are part of the club’s identity and institutional vision.
With more than a century of history, Deportivo Cali enters this new stage with the aim of continuing to strengthen its structures and processes, introducing knowledge, innovation and new tools that support the sustainable development of its sporting project.
