Sports Data Campus continues to strengthen its position as a leading provider of education for sports analytics professionals, building key partnerships with companies and clubs that take learning to the next level. We are delighted to announce a new collaboration agreement with LIGEN, a company that has established itself as a key player in content production and professional services in football.
LIGEN: innovation in analysis and content production
LIGEN is a leading name in sports analysis and audiovisual content production in football. Its work focuses on providing professional services to clubs, federations and media organisations, helping them rediscover football both on and off the pitch.

One of LIGEN’s strengths is its ability to record and analyse matches flexibly and reliably, covering leagues across Europe. Major federations such as Germany’s DFB, Austria’s ÖFB and Spain’s RFEF rely on LIGEN’s experience and reliability to support the development of their competitions and deliver high-quality content.
The company specialises in four main areas:
Recording: Capturing matches and competitions across different leagues using advanced technology and extensive coverage.
Refinement: Processing and analysing video material to meet clients’ specific needs.
Delivery: Providing tactical footage, match analysis, live streams and detailed highlights.
Consultancy: Offering specialist advice on sports analysis and content strategies for clubs and federations.
At the time of the announcement, LIGEN had a presence in four countries, worked with 16 federations and covered 37 leagues. This reach had established it as a strategic partner in using technology to improve understanding of the game and support decision-making in sport.

Sports Data Campus: educating the analysts of the future
Since its foundation, Sports Data Campus has worked tirelessly to bridge the gap between theory and practice in sports data analysis. Through its postgraduate programmes, the institution has prepared hundreds of professionals who now hold key roles in clubs, federations and sports technology companies.
Sports Data Campus’s teaching methodology is based on real cases and collaboration with respected organisations, enabling students to apply their knowledge in professional environments. Partnerships with top-level teams and technology companies have been essential to continuing to educate outstanding sports analysts, and this new collaboration with LIGEN represents an important step in that direction.
The agreement between LIGEN and Sports Data Campus
The partnership’s main aim is to combine LIGEN’s expertise in analysis and content production with Sports Data Campus’s high-level education, creating valuable opportunities for both students and the company. Its main areas include:
Student internships: LIGEN may welcome students from Sports Data Campus master’s programmes for internships in different areas of the company, allowing them to work with real data from players, clubs and federations.
Final master’s projects: LIGEN will have the opportunity to propose applied research projects across its areas of work. Interested students can apply, and Sports Data Campus will provide the academic support needed to help the projects succeed.
Masterclasses led by LIGEN experts: Company professionals will have the opportunity to deliver masterclasses for Sports Data Campus students, sharing their experience in data analysis and audiovisual production.
Joint course development: Both organisations will explore the possibility of designing joint training programmes in areas of mutual interest, expanding opportunities for learning and professional development.
Further collaboration: The agreement also opens the door to future opportunities that may arise, strengthening the relationship between the two organisations.

“For us, this agreement with Sports Data Campus is very important, as it is a leading global reference in education in analysis, data and new technologies applied to football. I believe they are doing outstanding work and, as a company in the sector, we saw this agreement as essential and as a tremendous opportunity for both organisations. You only have to look at the calibre of the companies, organisations and professional clubs already working with Sports Data Campus. Being able to join them fills us with immense pride,” said Jon Blanco Puime, Analysis Coordinator at LIGEN Spain.
David Sáez, CEO of Sports Data Campus, commented: “It is always a privilege to welcome companies with LIGEN’s history and track record into our network of partners. Through this collaboration, our students will be able to contribute — drawing on the skills and abilities they acquire in our higher education programmes — through professional immersion projects and internships in LIGEN’s areas of development. I would like to take this opportunity to thank LIGEN, and especially Jon Blanco, for helping make this agreement a reality.”

A partnership that benefits everyone
The agreement between Sports Data Campus and LIGEN promotes the integration of technology and analytics in football. For LIGEN, working with students highly trained in data analysis supports continued innovation in its services. For Sports Data Campus students, the collaboration creates opportunities to work with real data and apply their knowledge in a leading professional environment.
Through this partnership, we reaffirm our commitment to providing students with real opportunities for learning and professional development while working with leading companies in the sports sector.
We are confident that this agreement with LIGEN will mark the beginning of a productive relationship for both organisations and contribute to the growth of sports analysis worldwide.
