Sports Data Campus visited ESC LaLiga & NBA to begin developing joint activities for its master’s programmes and projects, laying the foundations for a collaboration to strengthen its educational and professional offering.

The partnership would support initiatives across programmes including MSC Data Analytics in Football, Máster en Big Data Deportivo, Máster en Big Data aplicado al Scouting en el fútbol, delivered in collaboration with Sevilla FC, and Máster en Big Data aplicado a la Preparación Física en Fútbol, among others.

About ESC LaLiga & NBA

The original announcement described ESC LaLiga & NBA as the official sports complex of LaLiga and the NBA, located in Villaviciosa de Odón, around 20 minutes from Madrid. Its natural surroundings offered athletes a setting in which to live, study and practise sport.

Conceived as an Olympic-style village, the high-performance centre was described as having two football pitches and residential accommodation for 500 athletes. It was designed to serve clubs, companies, federations, organisations and athletes.

A Visit to Develop Joint Projects

David Sáez, Executive Director of Sports Data Campus, and Miguel Ángel del Barrio Rodríguez, Programme Director, visited the facilities and met with Josele González, Sports Director of ESC LaLiga & NBA, to begin shaping joint activities between the two institutions.

Josele González said:

Josele González Appointed International Ambassador

The announcement also confirmed the appointment of Josele González as an International Ambassador for Sports Data Campus. In this role, he would represent the brand globally, helping to expand and strengthen the reach of its educational programmes.

The aim was to make the use of data more accessible around the world in the service of better sport, regardless of the competitive level or resources available to clubs and sporting organisations.
